Teeth Whitening

Beautiful, uniform teeth significantly contribute to a harmonious overall impression of the face, while discolored teeth can detract from a radiant smile. The causes of darkened teeth are varied and range from tobacco use to certain medications, as well as foods like coffee, tea, or red wine. For patients with naturally very light tooth color, a professional dental cleaning is often sufficient to achieve good results. However, for optimal teeth whitening, it is recommended to undergo professional cleaning beforehand. Teeth whitening is particularly advisable if dental restorations are planned in the front tooth area. This way, the color of new crowns can be adjusted to match the lighter teeth. Crowns, bridges, or fillings that have already been made cannot be whitened afterward.

Home Whitening

Home whitening provides a convenient way to whiten teeth at home. A low-concentration bleaching gel is placed in a custom-made plastic tray, which the patient wears for one to eight hours. Depending on the degree of discoloration, the treatment duration ranges from seven to fourteen days.

Power Whitening

Power whitening, performed directly in the dental office, uses a bleaching gel applied to the teeth, which is then activated using a special light source. This method provides visible results within an hour. The process can be repeated until the desired level of whitening is achieved. Since the treatment is performed by professionals, risks and side effects are virtually eliminated. Thanks to whitening, teeth can shine in a new, radiant white that – depending on lifestyle habits – can last up to five years.
